AEA Investors to Sell Spectrum Plastics Group to DuPont for $1.75 Billion


DuPont de Nemours on Tuesday said it has agreed to buy Spectrum Plastics Group, a maker of specialty medical devices and components, from private-equity firm AEA Investors for $1.75 billion.

DuPont said Spectrum serves the majority of the world’s top medical-device original equipment manufacturers with a focus on fast-growing therapeutic areas such as structural heart, electrophysiology, surgical robotics and cardiovascular.
